Ah, I know.

I thought to myself; ‘well let’s keep things light and fluffy, somewhat like a cloud, save getting ourselves stuck in the mud’.

So how about we discuss the topic of Seriousness? What it means to be serious and whether or not there’s a place for seriousness.

I’ve listened to quite a lot of Alan Watts and the general sense I get from him is that to be serious leads to nothing more than a lugubrious state.

Now I’m not saying that being serious all the time is a good thing, as such a dosage of anything never is. But I’m wondering if perhaps it has it’s place and that to channel a Serious State may allow you to achieve something you might otherwise not.

This is perhaps more of an inward seriousness as opposed to an outward seriousness that includes expectation of others as opposed to an expectation of yourself.

Where and how do you see seriousness in life?

Perhaps the greatest gift that we can give to each other is a greater understanding of ourselves.
